boat covers

I know everyone is uncovering their boats and getting ready for the summer. I finally have the Bucc I bought cleaned up and ready to go. Just waiting for the time.

As I finally have the thing cleaned, buffed and waxed shiny I'd like to keep it that way. What is everyone using for a cover for their Buccaneer when not in use? Reccomendations? Source? Thanks!

Only thing I use on my 22 is a small blue tarp to cover the companionway so I can board in foul weather and not get wet. I hate the look but I prefer the dry entery more!

I have a c15, and all I did was buy a roll of Sunbrella off eBay, I think it was about $40 for 7 yards of it. and I have plenty left over. it was perfect because the beam on it is 55", and the width of the roll was like 57", so I rolled the ends and stitched in some extra line I had. I later made grommets to tie it to the trailer for when I travel, but its the best thing Ive ever done to protect the boat.

you can find tons of options for colors, and thicknesses. most ebayers will cut down how much you need and ship it to you. a little work, and you've spent a quarter as much as most retailers charge for boat covers.

Yea, I just do the blue tarp thing and then I re-clean the boat after I take the blue tarp off as it still got dirty, and grew a bit of moss on the north side.
