Well we are headed out for the 3rd outting with Shaken Knot Stir'd.

I admit its still a scramble to get ready for these adventures I never know if we are as prepared as needed. Travel by land is the most difficult, we need to leave our car at our leaveing point and then get back to it when we get some where..

We really have no plans to trailer this anytime soon (No trailer) so were "stuck" looking for a new port for her. Even with the problems so far it really has been enjoyable wait I should say educational first.

Were moving on to the Pamlico sound abot 70 nm of open water for the most part.

Best of luck on your third outing; do find yourself a good trailer when you can it opens up a whole new world. As for myself after the overhaul is completed I'll be hitting the road looking for the larger inland lakes within a reasonable distance of Wilmington. They don't call the c26 a trailerable sailboat for nothing.

Well stepping the mast hasn't happen yet, the water has not been calm.
ok stepping a mast on big water isnot easy

We decided that if we get 1nm this trip it will be nice. we have motored abit to a few marinas in the area...they don't like sail boats not one at the Pirates cove marina..just million dollar yachts.

Manieo is a great port so things are good.

I hope bubba enjoy those multi million dollar what I can only think of as hotels on the water. I just wouldnt want the need for a crew every time I wanted to go out.

I'm glad things worked out like they have, it has been a good weekend we have enjoyed the boat once again

It will give me a chance to change the mast lights to led and I did have to mow the lawn on sunday.

You can see why we thought this would be a nice place to stay moored until we get f few things worked on. We are a few hundred yards out and right to the light house. also in sight of the replica of the 'Queen Elizibath 2 (another million dollar yacht..lol)

We still need to raise the mast but after getting up in the morning and seeing DParker's post I can't see paying $200+ to have the mast stepped by a guy that didn't know about the hook and that the mast didn't just drop straight down on the deck.

Theres a Ericson 37 moored close to us and the couple live aboard so we have eyes on Shaken Knot stir'd all the time.

I know the 1st mate sees it comming.....

Theres still a few more issues to deal with, and we should expect this , I wouldn't want everyone thats working on there boats to be having all the fun. There seemes to be a lot of work going on at the marinas as we walked around looking at boats.




we were in 3 different marinas and ended up in eye sight of were we started but learned a lot did a few repairs, meet a number of good people.
Got to walk around any boaters candy store (WM). I'd say the 3rd outting was good.
