A few pictures of what will probably my last outing as the summer lull approaches

This was the first boat I saw down (or up depending on how you look at it) the course


This is looking north as the fleet heads toward the finish, I tried to stay clear which is why they are so far away. I needed to get out about 2 hours ealier to get in a spot where they would pass close by without me being in the way.....oh well maybe next year I will be in the race myself.







Hard to tell from the picture but this was the only Scow I saw in the race, there were a lot of cruisers but the one designs were a no show for the most part. I did see a farely good number of Flying Scots

Banshi, I've been missing out on the spring sailing this year, and have also decided (for the first year ever) to lay off during the hottest summer months.

Still hoping to get some time in during May and June !

I have got out 5 times in ten weeks and it has been almost perfect every time. The mug race had perfect weather with a steady 10 to 15 kt wind out of the south all day, almost every one had spinnackers up the whole way......only the 90+ degree temps dampened the fun a little but that is common from here on out till late sept. I sure won't be able to get the wife out any more even if I brave the high temps again. Unfortunately during the summer the winds tend to be light and the heat high until a thunderstorm builds in and then no one wants to be out there.
