Easy question

At least, I'll bet it is for you guys.

The stem head on my LS-16 has three holes in it. The forward hole is 3/8" dia. The rear two holes are 1/4" dia. Assuming that the rear most hole is for my jib tack and the middle hole is for my forstay, what the heck is that forward hole for?

Dock line ? And/or trailer winch hook?

I use the "spare" and larger hole on the C15 for those purposes.

There should be no spare holes in a boat

You could use that forward hole for an asymmetrical spinnaker.
