Latest sail report

The plan was to join other NC sailors for the Flamingo run this last weekend that took place at Cape Look out at the coast.

Starting early Friday morning I rebuilt the fuel pump on our Evinrude 9.9 with very good sucess, the engine now starts with one pulland is now running great after all this time. We needed to motor sail up Adams Creek to meet up with 2 other boats but ran out of gas when we hit the canal so turned and sailed back towrds the Neuse river. Stopped and anchored during a brief rain storm and while needing to jump in to pull the anchor free I got stung twice by a jelly fish "ouch". Got back to the Oriental side after dark so we dropped anchor for the night. Bright and early I was awaken by a pod of dalphans. We got to the Oriental town dock were I meet up with Shaken Knot Stir'ds near twin. The next 2 days were sailing around the Neuse river were I enjoyed heeding to 20 deg. for great runs. All and all even with out participating in the Flamingo run it was a great weekend.

I am SO-O-o-o jealous!! But I am making steady progress on Cinderella. won't be long now I'll be able to post my own sail report. Maybe not as much fun as yours, but MINE!
