c26 main rigging and engine bolt mounts

How do you set the boom rigging on a c26? also missing the two bolts on bottom of engine mount to hull. Size and do these just turn into the holes?

On the "boom rigging", can you be a little more specific? Which part of the boom are you refering too? The main Sheet, the goosneck, the outhall, the topping lift, or the attachement of the main sail?

I'm betting I can learn a little from this thread, since the C-266 and C-22 supposedly share mast and boom.

The 1979 C26 manual which can be found at http://chryslersailing.lizards.net/ has a good diagram of how the mainsheet is riiged, as well as other aspects of attaching and rigging the boom.

Also if you mean the ring of bolts that surround the motor mount those have washers and nuts on the other side. Crawl back in the stern berth and you'll see them.

Hi guys. I am short on terms also. What I can't figure out is the pully system that controls the mast boom. It looks like I have two pully systems that attach to the mast/boom. need photos if you have them. On the engine mount question. It is the engine itself that has two holes in it's bottom mount and two corisponding holes in the boat. Just noticed this the other day when I was in the water behind the boat and noticed the engine was not square . Just being held on by the two turn bolt mounts on the top. Thanks for all input! The pics in the 79 owners manual should clear up the question on the system for the blocks (pulleys).

OK I have always opened up the 1977 link. The 1979 link has all of the photos. Thanks guys. I think I can figure it out now. Still wondering about the two bolt holes in the engine and boat but if I take a good look at it I should be able to get that too. ONe more question. I have a 150% genoa. How much of a wind should I put this up in?

Only in winds light enough that the jib doesn't seem to be catching enough wind to keep you moving. I usually put up the genoa in winds less than 10 mph. A strong gust can get exciting. The bottom bolt holes on the motor should have a washer and nut on the inside, or have on any I have delt with.

I just went back to check on greg's last post to see where he listed as home, Pectola Lake, SD. Made me laugh because I have never associated SD with sailing. When I think SD, I think of Sturgis and the Black Hills. Have to go look up Pactola Lake now. Bye.

ETA:Can't see it on Mapquest, but it shows up nicely on Google Earth.
