Removing Outboard mount

Has anyone removed the outboard mount on their C-22? I was looking at the lines of the hull and think it would be cleaner without that hulk of a mount. I will be moving to an electric outboard for my power needs and was thinking of mounting it to the transom when needed, but otherwise leaving it off.

Hey Ken I took mine off and it did look much better, i'm sure there are a few( :lol ) pictures in my webshot pages. But don't be suprised if your asked if your C-22 has an inboard.

Took mine off to replace the bolts. Looked good while it was off. Would be nice to hang your elect. motor off center line and not worry about getting into the rudder. Thought about moving my motor mount, and may do it before all is said and done.
