Now this sailing story is a keeper. I have printed it and added it to my ever growing 3 ring binder of C-22 facts. Also this is a first hand account and supporting documentation too.

P.S. So if my estimations of time added to the distance of say sailing 8 hours per day over 5 days you would have be doing approximately 4.9 miles per hour. Knots per hour would have been 4.3. Excellent crossing speed!

Alan, it wasn't like that. While under way, someone had to man the helm 24 hours a day. William would stand watch for x hours, the Cap would stand for x hours, Jake and I would stand watch together for x hours. This should become clear as the adventure unfolds. I'll try to post more after brunch.
