In case of emergency...

Post by Windward »

Thanks again to Scott and EE for getting the situation well in hand for the chryslersailors.com domain's long term admin. I did update the "LINKS" page on http://www.chryslersailing.com/ to reference www.chryslersailors.com. The Chrysler Exchange section there has pointed people to these fora for years. If we ever do lose use of the ChryslerSailors domain, I will update that link to point to whatever URL the guys work out for a new rallying point. I'm pretty sure that's never going to happen, but it's a simple "meet here in case of emergency and await further directions" location. We didn't have that this time, and it would have taken time for word to spread.

As to the other woefully outdated content at the Chrysler Sailing Association site, I am beginning to take a look at some revisions. Someone here offered to handle some scanning of various new materials I've collected, and I'm inclined to accept that help. The How To section also needs update, and the owner's list is quite out of date. Beyond that, a general facelift and smoother system of content management are in order, but I'm unlikely to get that far before snow flies next fall.

Jeff, I donno your hosting situation, but Umbraco (windows hosting) is a smooth content management system. I use it at http://www.partydogentertainment.com
