I'm FINALLY home from China!

Post by CaptainScott »

NO HERE POLITICS PLEASE!!

YEAH!

OK, I did not post here, but, my daughters high school marching band went to Beijing China to play for one of their premier high schools and to play on the Great Wall! Yes, they actually played on the Wall! I was one of several Chaperones.

We had a FABULOUS trip! We did SO much in the 7 days we had! Great wall, School, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Zoo, Temples, and MANY more places!

We serioulsy had a HUGE input overload problem! We learned SO much about Chinese people. I can now get by on the Manderin I learned.

I took over 3600 photos. I'm currently making them web friendly which will take a few days. Once they are ready I will start posting here however I suspect a nasty gram from my internet host because of the volume my Captain Scott Website is about to receive! LOL!

We just missed the Japan aftershock yesterday. We left the Narita Airport just before it hit! YEAH! We got home yesterday. Last night I slept 15 hours!

Whew! It is good to be home!

So, Great wall, School, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Zoo, Temples....

Any Sailing?!

Speaking of Auto Makers building boats. Hundi is a boat builder! Nah those are full blown ships. No Hundi H-22's or H-26's in there line up.

Wait Hundi is Korean, well that did not fit as well as I was hoping for.

Glade your back, did you get a guitar as you had planned?

Thanks
Alan

Nope, we had no extra time to shop for a guitar and since they are not main stream tourist items they did not have any shops in our path!

I did manage a taxi to the local Beijing Harley shop though. I had an hour of free time with no Chaperone responsibility so one other and I headed out and managed to buy some Beijing Harley TShirts!

Otherwise it was all touristy type purchases!
