Hi Moonshine Jim,

I believe the answer to these all these questions is yes. The problem is I'm not the one with the info. I've helped on a keel job but thank goodness don't need to do the job on my C-22.

Captain Scott a.k.a. 69shark did the keel job on his boat and I got to help. Here's Captain Scotts web site with the photo and steps to do the keel job.
http://captainscottsailing.com/ then click on Lady Jo, then click on Keel Pin Repair What we did. This will show you the photos and the steps.

As for the parts themselves I will have Captain Scott answer those specifics. The parts were beautifully made but a bit spendy as I recall, custom job in stainless steel, one off. But I believe the people who made them have the specs to make more.

Alas you will have to wait for 69shark, Captain Scott to fill in these details I fear. You know I think his web site has his phone number on it. You could give him a call.

Thanks
Alan

Hello, I think once you take them out you can derive enough information from the pocket they live in and what's left, that a machine shop can reproduce them. They're strait up and simple little brackets. Just plan to use a saws all to cut the pin on either side of the keel.

Thanks Alan,
I'm going to reach out to Captain Scott about the specs and who manufactured it for him.

Your going to love the boat even more with the new keel pin. The keel pin was done 2 owners before me. I love sailing my boat you will too. Hang in there we'll get you the answer and I do agree with Jmckamey. You will get a surprising amount of data from the the pocket where the hardware sits.

Thanks
Alan
