My Tiller video

Post by astrorad »

I took video of my tiller after I had refinished it...I'd rather do a video of my ongoing restoration of my C22 than take a bunch of stills...lazy I guess...don't have to type.

Sorry for the mess ups I make...I will get better as I go along.

Here is the link...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqUJCM_K8dU

I also have a video of my former 1980 MGB on my YouTube page.

With the video we finally get to see your face. The Avatar picture reminds me of Wilson on Home Improvement. LOL The tiller looks good.

Thanx everyone...I just posted my new avatar pic...me sailing a Catalina 22 on Roanoke sound out of Manteo last year in April 2010...wonderful vacation taken to celebrate out 40th wedding anniversary.

As I said before, I am too lazy to take still photos of my refit so anyone interested in my progress will have to endure my midwestern accent and watch the vids.

more videos coming as soon as I can upload them to my YouTube channel...
Again thanx to all and comments are most welcome...Bill

Ah, but that brought back some memories. Mine was almost identical, except a deeper maroon, black interior, and mine was (I think) a late 74 or 75. First year for the black bumper but still had twin carbs and little pollution control.

"electronic fuel pump, eliminates the problem", you say ? Been there...

One year we were expecting the town kids to roll our yard, and was surprised to wake up and find no TP in the trees..went out to the top down MGB to go to work and it was full, I mean full, of hay from our barn. So I scooped out enough to get in, and drove 80mph into town, hay blowing all over the place, 8)

and my B was a 70, chrome bumpers, twin carbs and a slightly tweeked exhaust manifold that allowed me to outrun a 5.0 mustang on Camp Pendleton (92 in a 45 zone. I was the chaplain and he was the doctor. No, we didn't get caught). Got it in Cincinnati, took it to Peldleton, had to towed to Phily and sold it there becuse the next move was to Seattle and I didn't have the heart to tow it all the way across country again. Good memories.

A belated congratulation on your 40th anniversary Bill... not there yet myself but working on it. A refit on video not bad at all, stills are nice but real life is better. The only con I see is that it's not a C26, but I'm sure much of the refit will cover topics similar to both. My overhaul will need to stay with stills if I tried to video it... it would be more of a comedy show than anything else.

Well I sold the B to a retired high school shop teacher and the proceeds are all going into the boat...the MGB was an impulse purchase...LOL...but it did provide a great deal of humor to all who heard the story behind it and my inability to ever get her on the road until I wanted to sell it.

Nice tiller and beautiful MGB! I'm a sucker for well kept old cars! I did indeed go find that video after your first post!

Great job on the videos!
