Relay for Life info, and a photo of my girls and I

OK,
I am in no way soliciting here for money or anything of the sort.

However if you have been touched by cancer here is one of the simplest ways to support. Suppot does not have to be a huge impact from you. simply dropping in and buying a cookie provides moneys to Cancer Research. Simply being there for 15 minutes and walking the track shows your support.

Our little booth ( if you could call it that ) offered home made cookies, snacks, and a variety of home baked goods baked and donated by parents and kids. Most expensive thing we had was 50 cents! we were happy to sell for 50 cents and donate ALL procedes! All booths were set up along the track. As people walked they could shop the booths and buy a snack, water, goodies or whatever was offered.

It was amazing when a person dropped in, bought a package of cookies for 50 cents, payed with a 20 dollar bill and said keep the change! WOW! This happened MANY times over thoughout the day! Someone would spend a quarter and leave a fistfull of extra money!!

It totally amazes me how generous folks are even in the difficult times we have.

King 5 TV's photos of the event at my daughters high school:
Of the many participants I have no idea why we were selected for one of the online photos. There were MANY giving folks there!
Here is me, my daughter, and my bride of 20 years!

We had a great time even though the weather was miserable overnight and Sunday morning! I highly recommend getting involved for anyone who is looking for a way to give back but really can not support financially. Just having bodies there shows support for survivors and helps build momentum for the entire event!

Oh yeah, my daughter designed our shirts.
Our team name was "Because of Love"
The shirts have a heart and a cross. The cross was very descretely imbedded in the design.

My daughter Dun good!

Big dogs in the house is all attitude, Scott! Just looky here:

Image

That's the First Mate with our two "lap dogs." The tiny light one is 85 lbs and the other is a svelt 175 lbs. More like self-moving furniture than house pets, but they're really great to have around! Besides, the cat keeps them in line. Seriously! Couple of big babies....

Very nice looking dogs! Yeah we had a German Shepard that unfortuantely passed early. We now have our little Corgi who is very good on boats! Our Shepard never liked to stand on the fiberglass!

I bet it is easier for me when my 20lb Corgi jumps in my lap than your 260 lbs of dog jumps in yours!! LOL!
