These days I'm working in the galley, my boat came naked... nothing but two long seat, I will sacrifice one to have a decent cooking place. The biggest section will have a sink and ice box. Under the sink will be the alcool and propane for the stove(I had a burner broken so I replaced it with a propane one, I use the propane when I want to cook small thing and alcool for longer cooking), the smaller section will open for storage and between the two will be my Kenyon stove.

I made the table this summer. The part on winch side is smaller so I can use the winch anytime. We found the hole in the middle section to put glass very usefull.


Before fiberglassing. I bought polyester resin as it's cheaper and the boat is made of it anyway, but I have since then worked with epoxy and prefer it alot, so Ill empty this gallon of polyester but dont plan to use it on future project. The wood is simple 1/2 BC Fir with one nice side. For accomodation I believe it will hold fine and is 1/5 the price of marine plywood.





Outside of icebox with minor fiberglass so it hold its shape. It's made of 3/8 BC Fir


The ice box epoxyed inside,prior to faring, wich was a pain in the ass to sand in the bottom!



I'm glad I bought a swing keel, it fit just right in my shop!



I will update this thread as I progress, at least when I dont have too much resin on my hand to take the camera;P

Nice work! One word of advice, by carefull in how much weight to put in the port side, or you'll boat will list! I had a bad listing problem in my C-22 until I got rid of the sliding galley.

Yes I have this problem too, because the motor,battery,stove and head are on the port side, but I'll try to equalize by placing the motor in center,battery, food locker and anchor on starboard. Water tank either under aft cabin sole or under starboard seat, not sure as this one vary in weight...

This summer I had put 100-150# of stone under starboard seat;P

150 pounds of rocks? Talk about dead weight! Since I removed the galley, and moved the battery to the port side, I have no more listing... now I need to install the water tank under the v-birth to make the water line even (I'm a bit tramson heavy)

Do you have a clue if the 26 tend to be transom or bow heavy? I did not really notice as my listing problem was much more apparant. Maybe I would be better to put that water tank in the nose too.

Very, very nice work! Are you putting the water tank in the locker below?
