Battery location

I had mine in the rear of the boat but want to move that weight forward and closer to the center of the boat, on a C-22 that probably means the storage area the keel cable passes through, port side/center of the boat. Any gas venting issues that might need addressing in this location?

I put a two battery bank right under the stairs. I however have a C-26 so it is a bit bigger. Since the companionway is right there I do not worry much about hydrogen buildup.
