Hi all,
Hope all is well. I am about to recover DA BOAT's interior cushions as the poor old original material is falling apart from age. I am sure a few of us have gone through this process and I am looking to:
1. Find out how many yards of material would be used (ballpark)
2. Find out if any of the group have photos or videos on best methods
Thanks for the advice! DVD Sarasota FL

I once took an upholstery class at the local tech college...the way that we were taught to do it was to take a seam ripper tool (available at the local fabric store) and take the material apart to use for a pattern and for measuring how much material will be needed. You need to iron the pieces flat after taking them apart. You make new piping, that's the edging with the bolt ropes in it by cutting material in long strips and sewing new roping into them. Roping is also available at the fabric store.
Check out YouTube for videos on how to do it.
