Mainsail question

Hi all,
When I bought this boat, the previous owners mentioned that they were using an improper main sail. Sure enough, when I checked it out it was marked C20. So, does anyone have an opinion on whether a C20 main sail is going to be something I want to replace, or will it generally get the job done? As a followon, we have a local consignment shop with hundreds of used sails. Are there any other boats whose mainsail can be swapped in for the C22, such as a J22 or Catalina?

Went to check out my mooring yesterday . Looking to launch next weekend .

If it helps, FX Sails lists the C20 as:
Rig Dimensions: I: 26.4; P: 22.4; E: 7; J: 8

And the C22 as
Rig Dimensions: I: 27.5; P: 23; E: 8; J: 9

So your C20 main is about a foot shorter on boom, and half a foot on the mast.
