Whisker Pole specifications

Put sails on my 22 for the first time last Thursday. Took her out for the Thursday evening club races on Lake Conroe, Tx. Stayed 300 to 400 yards ahead of everyone for an hour until the last leg that was downwind. Everyone else began to catch up. I still won, but it was a "photo finish".

Bottom line, I NEED A WHISKER POLE TO BE COMPETITIVE. Does anyone have specifications on the appropriate diameter and fully extended length needed for a 22'

Otay..

My whisker pole is 1 1/4" OD and is adjustable from 6' out to 11' with Forespar end fittings...

And just in case... My spinnaker pole is 2" by 10' again with Forespar ends...
