How much paint for a C-26 hull?

Post by tgentry »

I'm thinking about painting a hull. How much Interlux or Awlgrip should I need to paint (roller) a C-26 hull?

I found a site for Jamestown Distributors which gives info on how much it would take. We are doing the 22 and I'll let you know. Hubby thinks 2-3 quarts

Hey Alan,
We are taking Destiny to Port Orchard tomorrow.

Call me if you are on the water before noon, If possible, I'd like to get some snap shots of your boat full sail for ya!

I'll be at the marina in the AM and will leave around noon. I'll have my camera and a couple of lens.

You may see my ladies leaving the marina in a 10' inflatable doing about 20 kts catching up with me two hours later!

The dinghy is named "Trouble" in offset lettering!

I really need to do this but was puttingit off thinking it was a incredible hassle of many weeks work but it know sounds like it might be as easy or easier than sanding coumpounding polishing and waxing he topsides in hopes of restoringthe finsih and avaoiding painting

So far I spent about an hour and half and 2 razor blades scraping more then half the bottom pant on my C-22 and half the swing keel.
the keel looks to be in great shape the bottom is very slick this seemed to easy....lol I'm hopeing to finish the other half tomorrow and will post pictures.

Painting the bottom is the last thing I want to do before dropping it in
