New galley coming right up!!

I'm working on a new galley. I have the old one with the water tank (I wonder who designed it, totally useless) The new one its gonna be mounted on place, and I'm using the original Homestrand alcohol pressure stove. I cleaned last night, and this morning I found the instructions online how to use it, and it rocks! For the sink I'm gonna be using a SS tray, like the ones you find in a restaurant with the food, only deeper. I'll hope I get a model mocked up by tomorrow so I can share the photos (and try it out in the next outing to the Chesapeake with some sailors from NCSail.org)

One thing I need/request/beg/borrow/buy, one of the knobs in the stove its missing the sticker, does anybody had either the sticker or the whole knob? Please let me know! I'm interested!

You must be a purist! My sticker is long gone, but doesn't affect stove function. And here I thought you were a camp stove/dish tub kinda cook, Gus!

On Windward I have the original Kenyon pressurized alc stove; it's slow to boil, but I love it to cook with. Nice, even, controllable heat. The right-hand burner's going to require some work -- doesn't get above mid-heat. I think I need to reposition the portion of the valve that moves vertically as the control stem is turned, but that will require taking the stove out... may not (won't) get to that before Pirates.

I also have a gimballed Bluet Camping Gaz stove that I use to boil water for coffee, tea or oatmeal, or to do some light cooking like soup or ramen when underway. Love it, but I will probably install a Force 10 Sea Swing gimballed stove that I picked up before they were discontinued, which will provide more pan options and let me carry only one cartridge fuel rather than two.

Don't think you can find the propane swing stove anymore, except used, but you might leave a space to add the gimballed Forespar unit.

Hi Jeff!

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll have to take a look at your set up at Pirates this October. I made a quick mock up using the stove that came with the boat. I was thinking in going the extra mile and build a gimbaled set, but I'm seldom in the cabin under way, and I usually eat sandwiches for lunch.
