We took our boat out for the winter...

It was cold and overcast, gloomy all around,,,

Well it just means you'll have time to get her ready for the sailing season to come. Which means it is offically re-fit season. Yea!

Dang Billy,
Monday was sad for me too.

The new owner of Lady Di took her away. I actually felt bad watching her go down the road behind a strange rig in the dark. The new owner offered to keep her name but I said no. Put a name on her that means something to him.

Guess I'm just to sentimental.

Ok, me too! But.... it was a spectacular gorgeous Fall day, warm sunny incredible.... it killed me.. .but, I avoided the pricey boatyard with the travel sling lift and since my trailer won't be up here 'till thanksgiving, I got a guy with a hydraulic lift to haul me out ...we had a very unusual high tide... swamping the nearby ramp but he easily hauled it in minutes... fixed keel and all...it was amazingly ez ( that is the trailer to get!!!) out to the parking lot, he has a crane on the truck right there that lifts and sets the mast right on the boat and he drives off with it to the storage yard... I was stunned... these chryslers are really beautiful boats, in and out of the water.... when I get my own trailer I will have to try it myself but I doubt it will be that ez..... So I am out fo the water and I will need to get serious about winter outfitting... I have such a long list of high priority projects and I want to get in the water early next sprng....
