Overhaul... plan B.
After this overhaul... plan A is to have a splash time at Lake Watauga Tenn., but with the uncertainties of life it is always good to have a plan B. Fellow Chrysler owners of N.C. What lakes in N.C. have you sailed and by chance is there one that stands out from the rest?

Here so far I've been in Blewes and Gaston both on the Virgina line.
Blewes was great for learning on, Gaston is bigger and more open.
I like staying on the boat for days so finding new places to explore make any lake nice.
Theres a big lake in SC not that far from Wilmington that would be nice to check out.
Why not sail from the Wilmington area. You will be more then welcome to come sailing when I find a spot for my boat that way.

I sail my Pearson Ensign on Lake Norman. The Chrysler only sails in the back yard so far. Not a bad place to sail the July and August winds can be hard to find. Sailing is year round with the best sailing in Spring.
I have never sailed the Cape Fear inlet but it may be worth checking out. I hear there is good sailing out around South Port.
If I were in your area I would try driving north to Oriental. The Nuese River between New Bern and Oriental is some great sailing. I have never seen a completely calm day there. It is generally like sailing on a lake no real currents or tides to deal with.
