No search on the page, but in IE press Crtl-F and you can use "find on page" to some degree.

Many moons ago when NOAA was experimenting with Charts online, I accidently wrote a script to download them all. I burned myself a disk and have been using them ever since.

They are not good for navigation however they are perfect for preplanning a trip!!

That's what I have been using, keep a binder with the local area charts in the boat, works well.

Chart booklet works very well I keep a binder on the boat and if planning a trip quickly print and laminate.

I print both sides and laminate in plastic sheets punch holes first and smaller holes for binder so holes are sealed also.

You can also get free electronic charts direct from NOAA:

I'm using them with SeaClear II (also free):
http://www.sping.com/seaclear/

And I've been experimenting with OpenCPN (also free):
http://opencpn.sourceforge.net/

They're great for planning and you can then upload your routes to any GPS that speaks NMEA. I have a little USB GPS for my Netbook which turns into a nice little chart plotter, although obviously not weatherproof.
