Speaking of tides

Since I mentioned tides in the Mondays Question and answer post I thought I'd post two pictures of the Port of Everett where Desitny is moored.

Two things to note:
First, Notice the poles in each picture. This picture was taken from the same spot and these are the same poles.
Second, these were taken on the exact same day.
Notice the shadowing. The first shot taken in late morning and the second early evening! Again . . . . SAME DAY!!!!!

Wow! lucky you have floating docks.. I don't and tie-up is a real pia... I rushed once and at low tide pulled up one of the cleats.... there has to be an easier way to figure this out...
