I found out out this weekend that I will need to store the Annemarie outside at the marina since my previously made arrangements fell through. (used to store in a barn that was used by the PO, barn belonged to a friend of his, told him i'll be back in the fall this spring, so I called him to let him know I was coming over and he said.... sorry I'm using it for other stuff ) so... since I have never stored outside can anyone tell me any tips that would help? thanks

Make sure the angle off the trailer is such that the cockpit will drain... yeah, that was a lesson learned the hard way

Tony, I took off all my stanchions and stern push pit and bow pulpit.
Next I cut three, two by four lumber and ran them length wise from the companionway wash boards to the aft pushpit mounts and center of transom. I attached the lumber to the top wash board by hanging a 6 inch piece of aluminum angle over the wash board at each end, and screwed the lumber to another piece of wood that I ran length wise across the horizontal angle that protrudes aftwards.
Next I cut some 3/4 inch black pvc hose that comes in a coil from Lowes, etc. Attach that with nylon cable tie wraps like the police use for cuffs, at 90 degrees across the two bys and attach to toe rails. I used 5 of these evenly spaced. Covered the whole thing with a heavy duty blue plastic tarp that I got on sale for $13. Tarp measures 12ft. By 24 ft. Use bungie cord to trailer or across bottom of boat if long enough.
It has withstood 50 to 60 MPH gusts that we had so far...no flapping at all. I will take some pics and post them and try to do a sketch too.
It sounds complicated but it really doesn't take all that long and should be quicker next year because all will be cut to length already

I live in central ohio so I know the winters we have. I bought the largest gray tarp from harbor freight (50.00 +/-)
Took everything out of the interior, nothing left in there, Strapped the mast down to the hull, with foam underneath for cushion. I also have a notched 2x6 that sits in the outboard mounting bracket. This holds the mast up over the hull. Take off all the stanchions. The tarp will cover the winch, clear back past the transom. Wrapped my lines completely around trailer and boat. I also bungie cord the tarp in the back, That way I can work on it in the winter. Open the back up and crawl in the cockpit.

Been doing this for 4 years works great.

Wash the hull I used a little bleach in the water.

Last year I removed the lifeline stanchions and attached PVC pipe to the toe rail with zip ties to make a frame for a sort of conestoga cover. I used 1/4" cord tied to the pulpit and pushpit and then zip tied to each PVC pipe to hold them in place. I got a cheap blue tarp from Harbor Freight and it lasted the winter with no problems, but it was definitely a throw away when done.

This year I decided to leave the lifelines on. I did a similar setup but zip tied the PVC to the stanchions. So far so good, and there's more room for working on the deck. I bought the heavier silver tarp from HF, we'll see if it does any better.

This is what I use 3 2X4X10 with plates to hold them together and 3 saw horse brackets with 2X4's cut to length as legs and with wind in the northeast I use ratchet straps at stern pulling aft and at bow pulling forward and a 16X30 tarp and carpet remnants on stansions to prevent putting holes in tarp

Thank you guys for all the tips, I was at the yard this past saturday getting ready to wrap up the boat fro next year and as I pulled in it was not there anymore! I asked at the office and they told me that they put it in a shed for me for winter! I guess they felt sorry for me loosing out on my winter storage (I told them about it weeks ago) Thank YOU was my reply, now i have no excuses to get all my projects done before next season starts!
