Indeed the soft colors flow effortlessly from page to page leading one deeper into its seductive grasp, but my downfall is not the 2011 catalog... but the fact a West Marine store is only five miles away from my house in Wilmington. 8)

We had a "boaters world" store not to far away however they were forced to close beacause of a bankrupcy/lawsuite something or other, so now most of the "shopping" gets done on line... sadly there is nothing like actually holding what you are looking to get in your hands...

Through life we all have our wish books and I am more fortunate as I have to drive 45 miles but the evil West Marine and Defender have other evil helpers such as UPS and Fedex.

Lead me not into temptation West Marine.

Duo, too late, that GPS is so shiny and has all the features I want, nay, features I need.

My wallet says no, but my mind says yes.

Thanks
Alan

Lead me not into temptation, indeed. In fact, I need not be lead. I can find the temptation just fine all of my own accord.

Yea remember that mini-bike section back in the 1960's. My folks said I could have one it I got the money. Well I got the money and I still never got the mini bike. I asked about it later. Turns out I was not expected to be able to save that much and the same story for the rifle too.

Thanks

It took 30 years before I got the Go-cart, or my boys got the go-cart.
About 8 years ago I picked up most the parts for a go-cart at the Northern Tool outlet store we had in Hudson for about $350. Another $150 for other parts to complete the project.
Since it was to be a Christmas gift and a father, sons project, I gave each of them a part for Christmas gift with a tag that read "Assembly Required" :D We had a great time painting and building it, and the lawn may never be the same, you could actually see our go-cart track on the aerial view of our house on mapquest. 8)

So, while we're talking about things you got from the backs of magazines....

I ~did~ get the special X-ray vision glasses.
did NOT get the special fake chest hair: currently have that in abundance
I DID get a tony-the-tiger that swims from a bunch of box tops
(actually worked really well).

I currently don't think I can afford anything out of any magazine...
much less West Marine. and besides the fact... they must be pretty smart, since they didn't put a store in ARKANSAS. I will have to take your word(s) on it that it's very dreamy and surreal.
I used to look at Wooden Boat magazine that way.
