I had 3 older brothers who we're Vietnam era vets. The oldest in the Army served all his time state side. The next oldest in the Navy served his time in the Mediterranean on an aircraft carrier. The third brother spent his time in the wilds of Florida in the Air Force keeping watch over the sweet young things in Miami. Me, I was in Junior High School.

My Uncle did the Navy in the late 50's early 60's. My dad was in the Army Air Core in WWII as a fighter pilot right at the end of the war. He never flew a combat mission. Talk about your timing, lucky for me. :D Said he loved to fly that P-51, nothing else like it.

Thanks to those who served then and now. Thank you all very much.

Alan

Thank You for posting it. I was there 24 mounts in contry M C B 58. 1966, 1967, 1968 I was lucky to be a steal worker, but I did see a lot that I wish I did not see.
