trolling motor

In addition to my Chrysler 22, I have a 17' vagabond. I run that boat with a 55 lb thrust trolling motor and it works great. Not fast, but efficient. I would not go less.

I push my 22' with a Tohatsu 6, long shaft. It responds great and has power to spare. It pushes me a 6 mph according to my hand held gps.

Whisker Pole specifications

Put sails on my 22 for the first time last Thursday. Took her out for the Thursday evening club races on Lake Conroe, Tx. Stayed 300 to 400 yards ahead of everyone for an hour until the last leg that was downwind. Everyone else began to catch up. I still won, but it was a "photo finish".

I am a newbie. Put my 22' in the water 3 weeks ago. I thought I was ready to sail, but discovered this week that the plate that attaches to the top of the transom, to which the port side backstay attaches, is loose. I tried tightening the screws, but they are just spinning in the transom. What do I ...
