Took a couple picts of the inboard mount for those interested...
Again, you can see the port side keel bolts in the picts. I've had no problems with accuracy through the hull. Bought the setup at the hardware store, a cleanout for a 4" septic or sewer line, notched at the bottom and siliconed in place. Filled with water to cover the transducer...
I added some more picts to that link showing the GPS/ mounting arms in various positions,,, why I like having 2 arms!
The transduser is not epoxied in place, there is some slopped silicone on the tip and aft end that keep it from floating... and that works well despite not part of the original "design" specs
Is th Depth sounder accurate? I owold thinkthat air would get in between the transducer and the hull.... your'e set up is so simple it desplays everything a great sailor should have, simplicity, ingenuity, practicality and economy!!!
